Sixteen Mile Sports Complex Case Study
During the construction of the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in 2010, EllisDon and Marin Contracting were faced with the challenge of providing an interior ceiling that was accessible, yet still provided a high-end finish that was consistent with the design of this modern facility.
After working closely with CGC Inc. and our local technical staff in Oakville Ontario, the decision was made to install CGC Curvatura™ 3-Dimensional Suspension System.
The system allowed Ellis Don and Marin Contracting to create a dramatic 3-dimensional curved ceiling that spans over five hundred feet.
The system consisted of the Curvatura Elite suspension components, perforated aluminum infill panels, and acoustical backer to achieve the desired acoustical performance. Other products on this project included CGC Donn® Brand Ceiling Suspension Grid and CGC Olympia Micro™ Acoustical Ceiling Panels.
