CGC Inc., the Canadian division of USG Corporation, today announced plans to revitalize and relaunch a state-of-the-art gypsum quarry in Little Narrows, Nova Scotia. This CAD 104 million investment will reinforce CGC’s supply of raw gypsum material—the largest in the world— to meet the growing demand of customers with easy, reliable access to world-leading wallboard products.

Partnership with Wheatland County, Invest Alberta Corporation and the government of alberta to create 300+ local jobs and expand CGC presence in Western Canada.

We are proud to announce that USG has again been named a Top Workplace! The Detroit Free Press named our Michigan plants – Alabaster, Detroit and Otsego – a Top Workplace for the sixth straight year, and the San Diego Union-Tribune named our Plaster City plant a Top Workplace for the third year in a row.

USG is celebrating the 50th anniversary of our operations in Mexico, which began November 5, 1969 in Puebla. We were the first company to introduce modern drywall to the region, where the predominant building method used brick or concrete block and plaster.

Recently, the First Coast Manufacturers Association (FCMA) and U.S. Senator Rick Scott chose our plant for a visit to promote the manufacturing industry in Florida.
